- Nick is a military veteran and senior business leader working for Airbus Defence and Space as a business growth manger. Prior to Airbus he spent 13 years as an officer in the Royal Navy as an aviator. During his time he spent a number of years deploying to the Middle East in support of maritime security operations working as part of a 3 man helicopter crew as the aircraft captain with responsibility for both mission success and aircraft and crew safety. His time included extensive night operations and working closely with regional allies and partners to deliver effect. Laterally he worked in Navy Command HQ, initially focusing on safety and risk culture and education across the service before moving into capability and acquisition where he worked on the development and procurement of new aviation related technologies for the military. His final appointment was at the tri-service Strategic Command in Northwood, London helping to understand and inform wider defence on future threats and opportunities. Nick joined Airbus in Q3 2022 and has led business growth across the maritime and air satellite communication market segments for the military and civil market. In his current role he works closely with customers to understand their technical needs and help mitigate against future threats and risks through the provision of resilient solutions. His work covers the US / UK / APAC regions. When not working, he spends most of his life trying to complete an MBA or trying to learn new sports.
